Boxes at the Shaftesbury Theatre

Now playing: Avenue Q From £30 Book tickets

Four Boxes are on sale, holding ten people between them. Boxes A and B take three each, Boxes E and F take two.

What a Box gets you

A Box gets you privacy and a very side-on view of the stage, and you lose part of the side of the stage nearest you. In Boxes A and B, which take three, the third seat sits behind the other two and sees less, so give it to whoever minds least. For seeing the show, the centre of the Stalls beats a Box here and usually costs less, so book seats near 18 and 19 instead. For an occasion a Box earns its money: a private space for two or three, and nobody climbing over you.

Boxes FAQs

How many Boxes does the Shaftesbury Theatre have?

Four are on sale, lettered A, B, E and F, holding ten people between them. Boxes A and B seat three each and E and F seat two. Boxes C and D do not appear on the current plan at all.

Are the Boxes worth it?

For an occasion, yes. For the best view of the show, no. Boxes here sit side-on to the stage, so you gain privacy and a sense of event and you lose part of the picture. The centre of the Stalls beats a Box at this theatre and frequently costs less, so book one for what it is rather than for the view.
