What's Mr Loverman About?

Barrington Walker is a husband, a father and a grandfather, a sharp dresser and a respected man in Hackney. What nobody knows is that for sixty years he has been in a secret relationship with his best friend, Morris.

The story runs across six decades, from Antigua to present-day London, and it's about Barry, his wife Carmel, his family, and whether he finally chooses to live as himself.

Performance Schedule

The performances dated so far start at 7:15pm in the evening and 1:30pm for matinees. Four evenings start early, at 6:30pm: Thursday 18 March, Tuesday 6 April, Thursday 8 April and Tuesday 13 April.

The full calendar is on the booking page. Arrive 30 minutes before, no later.

Mr Loverman Ticket Prices

Every evening and matinee, Monday to Saturday, has the same price range, from around £25 up to around £95. Prices can rise on busy dates.

Where to Sit for Mr Loverman

The Lyttelton has two levels, the Stalls and the Circle, and no pillars on either.

  • Stalls rows G and H, in the centre, are the pick at the top price. After them, row F, then J.
  • Take row F over row E if you can. E is the first raised row and sits barely higher than D.
  • Circle rows A to C, seats 6 to 31, look down on the whole stage and cost about what the back half of the Stalls does. At the same money, take the Circle.
  • Stalls rows A to D are on a flat floor with no armrests. Row A is the one to have, since nobody sits in front of you.

Row by row: the Lyttelton seating plan, the Stalls and the Circle.
