Who's Samira For?
- Fans of May Calamawy from Moon Knight and Ramy, seeing her on stage in the National's smallest theatre.
- People who like political drama: this one is set in Damascus in 2011.
- Anyone who remembers the Arab Spring, or wants to understand it.
What's Samira About?
It's 2011, and the protests have reached Damascus. Samira is at the centre of them: radical, charismatic and very funny, posting her own account of what is happening as it happens. In London, a group of academics read every word and follow the revolution through her, until she disappears.
The National calls it thrilling, funny and provocative, and says it is about authenticity, political upheaval and the pursuit of truth. It is inspired by real events.
What Tickets Cost
Tickets run from around £25 up to around £95, and most seats are around £45 to around £70. Fridays and Saturdays start from around £30. The National's prices can change with demand, and we can tell you which seats sit in which band for your date.
Performance Schedule
Evenings start at 7:30pm and matinees at 2:30pm. Four evenings start an hour earlier:

| Tuesday 23 February | 6:30pm |

Where to Sit
The seating layout for Samira hasn't been announced. The Dorfman has no fixed plan: the floor seating is rebuilt from one production to the next, so what suited the last play may not apply to this one.
The three levels stay the same. The Pit is the floor, nearest the stage. The Circle runs round three sides at foyer level. The Gallery is the top level, and it's where the cheapest seats usually are. Which of them suits Samira depends on where the stage goes, and that comes with the plan.
Where each price band sits won't be known until the plan is out. Call 020 7193 9050 and we'll tell you what each band buys on your date.
