Boxes at the Criterion Theatre

There are six Boxes, all on the sides of the theatre. Boxes A to D are at Dress Circle level and Boxes E and F at Upper Circle level. A and B take four people, the others two.

For Titanique, only Boxes C and D are on sale, each as one ticket for up to two people. Boxes E and F aren't sold.

What you see

The Boxes are right on the sides of the theatre, and whilst you do have a view of the stage, it's not a great view. You have to lean forward to see, and you lose the edge of the stage nearest you.

Better seats for the money

For Titanique a Box costs the same as a standard seat, but it covers two people, so it works out at about £35 each. That's the same as the cheapest seats in the building. For a little more each, the sides of the Stalls face the stage and see nearly all of it, and that's where we'd send you.

When the Box does make sense

If the Box itself is the point of the evening: a bit of privacy for two, room for your coats, and chairs rather than fixed seats. Not otherwise.

FAQs

Are the Boxes worth it at the Criterion Theatre?

For the privacy, they can be. For the view, no: you're right on the side and have to lean forward, and the sides of the Stalls see far more of the stage.

Can I book Box E or F?

Not for Titanique. Only Boxes C and D are on sale.
