Where is it?
On the south-east side of Piccadilly Circus, facing the Shaftesbury Memorial Fountain, better known as Eros. The entrance looks straight at the statue.
By tube
Piccadilly Circus, on the Piccadilly and Bakerloo lines, is literally outside the theatre's entrance. Take exit 4 and the theatre is in front of you (take the wrong exit and it could be a 4 minute walk!). Leicester Square is roughly ten minutes on foot on the Piccadilly and Northern lines. Green Park is about ten minutes on the Piccadilly and Victoria lines and has step-free access to street level.
By train
Charing Cross is about ten minutes on foot, through Trafalgar Square and up Haymarket.
By bus
Four stops sit within a minute or two of the door:
- Haymarket, Charles II Street (stop P), the closest, about a minute away: 12, 88, 159 and 453
- Haymarket, Jermyn Street (stop R), outside TigerTiger: 9, 23 and 139
- Regent Street, St James's (stops Y and Z), outside Tesco: 9, 12, 23, 88, 94, 139, 159 and 453
Late at night, the N3, N9, N15, N18, N97, N109, N113, N118 and N136 stop at the same places. The 14 and 19 stop at Piccadilly Circus, about three minutes' walk.
By taxi
Black cabs pass the door constantly. If you need the step-free entrance, ask to be set down on Jermyn Street rather than at the front on Piccadilly Circus.
By car
Not the easy option here. Street parking is limited pay and display, and resident bays are not available to visitors. The Congestion Charge runs Monday to Friday 7am to 6pm including bank holidays, and Saturday and Sunday from noon to 6pm. The nearest car park is Q-Park Leicester Square, Whitcomb Street, WC2H 7DT. Reserve the space online rather than paying at the barrier, because the Society of London Theatre scheme only discounts a booking made in advance.
What time to arrive
Arrive 15 to 20 minutes before the performance, no later. Every bag is checked before you get into the foyer, and having your bag open when you reach the check moves the queue along considerably. Then allow a few minutes for the stairs, especially if you're in the Stalls.
For Titanique there's no fixed point for latecomers to be let in, and you may not get to the seat you booked.
