Three levels: the Stalls, the Royal Circle and, at the top, the Grand Circle. For Moulin Rouge there are also the Can Can tables, right at the front of the Stalls. There's no centre aisle on any level, so a central seat means climbing past people to get in, and an end seat is easier if you may need to slip out.
The one thing to understand before you pick a seat
Moulin Rouge uses the full height of the stage, right up to the ceiling, and the two circles cut off the top of it from the back of the level below.
In the Stalls, the Royal Circle starts to overhang from row L, and from rows Q to R back you lose the very top of the stage. In the Royal Circle, the Grand Circle overhangs from row D, and the last couple of rows are the weaker ones. That makes the front of each level the place to aim, and the back of the Stalls the place to save money rather than the place to sit at full price.
Stalls or Royal Circle?
For this show the Stalls win on atmosphere, since you're inside the action. The Royal Circle has a good rake and a cleaner view of the whole stage, and the first five or six rows are good. Pick the Stalls if you want to feel part of the show, the Royal Circle if you want a wider view of everything happening on stage.
The levels at a glance
- Stalls, the Can Can tables and rows B to U. The front Stalls are the most immersive; try not to go further back than Q or R
- Royal Circle, rows A to L. The first five or six rows are the value pick, with a good rake
- Grand Circle, rows A to M. The cheapest level, 70 steps up with no lift. It's steep, so stay in front of row G
Where we'd spend less
A slightly cheaper seat in the first five or six rows of the Royal Circle loses very little of the view. A bargain near the back of the Stalls is still a fair seat, as long as it's priced for the missing top of the stage.
Taller? The best seats for legroom
Seats here are about 44cm wide, narrower than in newer theatres. The ends of Stalls row P have extra legroom. The Grand Circle is steep and tight, so avoid it if legroom matters.
Step-free seating
The wheelchair spaces are in the Stalls, by lift from the Sherwood Street entrance. The access page has the detail.

Seating Plan FAQs
Where are the best seats for Moulin Rouge at the Piccadilly Theatre?
The front Stalls give you the most immersive experience, and the Can Can tables, some right in front of the stage and others actually inside it, are a unique experience, and one of our favourites. The first five or six rows of the Royal Circle are excellent too. Call us on 020 7193 9050 for seat advice for your budget.
Which seats should I avoid?
The back of the Stalls from row R, where you lose the top of the staging, and the back of the Grand Circle beyond row G, which feels high. The last couple of rows of the Royal Circle are the weakest on that level.
How much legroom is there?
Seats are about 44cm wide, a little narrower than newer venues. For more legroom, the ends of Stalls row P have extra space. The Grand Circle is steep and tight.
