By tube
Tottenham Court Road is four minutes from the door and Leicester Square five. Both are well served, so take whichever suits the line you are already on.
By train
Charing Cross is the mainline station, a short tube ride or a walk away.
By bus
14 and 19 stop on Shaftesbury Avenue, and the 38 does too until 14 November 2026, when it is cut back to Holborn. 24, 29 and 176 stop on Charing Cross Road. The two roads meet at Cambridge Circus, which is the far end of Old Compton Street, so the theatre is along the street from either stop.
Night buses use the same two roads: N5, N19, N20 and N38 on Shaftesbury Avenue, and N29, N41 and N279 on Charing Cross Road.
Driving and parking
There is no parking at the theatre, and Soho is a difficult place to drive into at any time of day.
If you are driving anyway, Q-Park Theatreland takes 50% off after midday. There is also NCP Brewer Street, and metered parking at Soho Square, about 200 metres away.
Blue Badge bays sit on Greek Street and Frith Street, both close by. The access route has the rest of the step-free detail.
What time to arrive
Arrive 20 to 30 minutes before, no later. That is earlier than we tell people at most theatres.
The entrance is relatively narrow for a theatre this size, and there are security checks on the way in. Cycle past here before a show and there is often a queue on the pavement. With 1,674 people to get through one door, the extra ten minutes is the difference between walking in and standing outside.

Is there parking at the Prince Edward Theatre?
None at the theatre itself. Q-Park Theatreland is the useful one, at half price after midday, and there is NCP Brewer Street and metered parking around Soho Square about 200 metres away. Blue Badge bays are on Greek Street and Frith Street.

20 to 30 minutes before the performance, which is earlier than we would say elsewhere. The entrance is narrow for a theatre of this size and there are security checks, so queues build on the pavement.
