Boxes at the Duchess Theatre
2 shows on now · From £24 · See shows
There are four Boxes, all at Dress Circle level: two at the back, behind the last row, and two in the front corners.
Should you book one?
The rear Boxes, B and C, yes, if the price is right. They're priced with the cheapest seats in the theatre, with movable chairs and their own entrance, and the view of the stage is clear, although the arch cuts off the very top of it. Box B takes four and Box C two, so they suit a couple or a small group who'd like a space to themselves, and the movable chairs give you more legroom than anywhere else upstairs.
The front corner Boxes, no. One isn't sold for The Play That Goes Wrong, and the other sees the stage from the side.
Better seats for the money
If a front Box is priced like a good seat, book the middle of the Stalls, rows E to K, instead. You lose the private space but you face the stage and see all of it. If a rear Box has gone, the back rows of the Dress Circle are cheap too, and they face the stage.
FAQs
Are the Boxes worth it at the Duchess Theatre?
Boxes B and C at the back are: cheap seats, a clear view and space to stretch out. The front corner Boxes are side-on, so take a seat in the middle of the Stalls instead.
