By bus
The closest stops are on Charing Cross Road beside the theatre, with more round Tottenham Court Road station and on New Oxford Street. Which bus to take depends on where you're coming from:
- From North London: the 24 (the Royal Free Hospital in Hampstead, Camden Town and Warren Street), the 29 (Wood Green, Turnpike Lane, Finsbury Park and Camden Town) and the 19 (Finsbury Park, Highbury and Islington). All three stop at Tottenham Court Road Station (Stop G) on Charing Cross Road, about a minute from the door
- Also from North London: the 73 (Stoke Newington, Angel, King's Cross and Euston) and the 390 (Archway, Tufnell Park, King's Cross and Euston), to Stephen Street (Stop B), about three minutes
- From West London: the 14 (Putney, Fulham, South Kensington, Knightsbridge and Piccadilly Circus), to Denmark Street (Stop A), about two minutes; and the 98 (Willesden, Kilburn, Marble Arch and Oxford Circus), to New Oxford Street (Stop Z), about two minutes

- From East London and the City: the 8 (Bow, Bethnal Green, Shoreditch, Liverpool Street, Bank and St Paul's), which ends on St Giles High Street, about two minutes; and the 55 (Walthamstow, Hackney Central and Old Street), to Stop X by the station, about two minutes
Late at night, the N5, N19, N20, N29, N41 and N279 stop at Stop G on Charing Cross Road.
By car
There's no parking at the theatre. The nearest car parks are:
- Q-Park Chinatown, Newport Place, open 24 hours, about ten minutes' walk
- Q-Park Soho, Poland Street, open 24 hours, about ten minutes' walk on the far side of Soho
Both get busy on show nights, so book a space in advance if you can.
The theatre is inside the Congestion Charge zone, which runs from 7am to 6pm on weekdays and from midday to 6pm at weekends. Arrive after 6pm for an evening performance and you won't pay it; for a matinee you will, currently £18 a day. The ULEZ applies around the clock if your car doesn't meet its standards.
Soho Place itself is pedestrianised, so if you're being dropped off, ask for Sutton Row, off Soho Square, which is only a few metres from the front door. After the show, cabs are easy to hail on Charing Cross Road. Blue Badge holders can find the nearest free bays on Westminster's Parking for Blue Badges map; they can't be reserved.
What time to arrive
The doors open in stages: the building and the ground-floor bar 90 minutes before the show, the bars on each level at 45 minutes, and the auditorium at about 30. Arrive 15 to 20 minutes before, no later, and on a busy night allow for a queue at the bag check.
