Also close:
- Covent Garden, Piccadilly line, 5 minutes

By bus
The nearest stops are at Cambridge Circus, at the top of West Street, and outside Leicester Square station, both about two minutes from the door. The 14, 19, 24, 29 and 176 serve them, and which stop you want depends on the direction you're coming from:
- From North London: the 24 (Hampstead, Camden Town and Tottenham Court Road), the 29 (Wood Green, Finsbury Park and Camden Town) and the 19 (Finsbury Park, Highbury and Angel). Get off at Cambridge Circus, Stop D
- From Bloomsbury: the 14 (Russell Square and Tottenham Court Road), also to Cambridge Circus, Stop D
- From West London: the 14 (Putney, Fulham, Chelsea, South Kensington and Piccadilly Circus). Get off at Gerrard Place, Stop P, on the Chinatown side of Shaftesbury Avenue
- From Victoria and Pimlico: the 24 (Pimlico, Victoria, Westminster and Trafalgar Square). Get off at Leicester Square Station, Stop L, or Cambridge Circus, Stop M
- From South London and Waterloo: the 176 (Penge, Dulwich, Camberwell, Elephant & Castle, Waterloo and Charing Cross), to the same two stops
Night buses from the same stops: N5, N19, N20, N29, N41 and N279.
By car
There's no parking at the theatre. The nearest car parks, both open 24 hours:
- Q-Park Chinatown, Newport Place, about 5 minutes' walk, with EV charging
- Q-Park Leicester Square, Whitcomb Street, a little further
Blue Badge holders can also use these car parks, and there are some Blue Badge bays on the streets nearby.
You're inside the Congestion Charge zone. It's £18 a day, and it runs 7am to 6pm on weekdays and midday to 6pm at weekends, so arrive after 6pm for an evening performance and you won't pay it, though a matinee falls inside it. The ULEZ runs at all hours, but only charges vehicles that don't meet its emissions standards.
West Street is short, narrow and busy before a performance. For a taxi or a lift, ask to be dropped at Cambridge Circus and walk the last two minutes, which is usually quicker.
What time to arrive
Arrive 15 to 20 minutes before, no later. Leave time for the bag check at the door and the small foyer, but there's not much to see inside, so there's nothing to gain from coming earlier. For a drink first, the Dress Circle Bar opens an hour before curtain up, and you can take your seat from 30 minutes before.
If you're late, you'll be held until a suitable break, which can be up to 20 minutes in. By then the guests have arrived at the manor and the mystery is being set up without you.
