Boxes at the Noël Coward Theatre
The theatre has six Boxes. Four of them seat four people: A and B down at Stalls level, and C and D in the Royal Circle, right beside the stage. The other two, L and M, are small two-seat Boxes at the sides of the Royal Circle, kept for access bookings.
Should you book one?
Not for the view. Every Box is side-on to the stage. From A and B, at Stalls level, you lose about a quarter of the stage on your side. C and D, a level up, do better and show you most of it, but you'll still miss the back corner and the edge nearest you.
What you do get is space. The chairs are movable, so there's more legroom than in most seats, and Boxes C and D have their own toilet.
Better seats for the money
The centre of the Royal Circle, rows A to D, or the centre of the Stalls, rows C to J. Either shows you the whole stage. You give up the privacy, but you see the show properly.
When a Box does make sense
For a birthday, a proposal or four friends who'd like a space of their own, the privacy can be worth more than the view. It's also worth a thought if you need to stretch your legs and the rear Stalls have gone.
For Into the Woods, Boxes A to D aren't part of the seating plan.
Boxes FAQs
Are the Boxes worth it at the Noël Coward Theatre?
Not for the view, because all six are side-on. They're worth it for privacy, legroom or an occasion, and for the same money the centre of the Royal Circle or the Stalls will show you more.
Where are Boxes L and M?
At the sides of the Royal Circle. Box M is the wheelchair space and Box L the transfer Box, and both are booked through the venue's own access team. The access page has the detail.
