Savoy Theatre, London
The Savoy Theatre is off the Strand on Savoy Court, sharing Savoy Court with the Savoy Hotel, and Paddington The Musical is currently booking until February 2028. Three levels: Stalls, Dress Circle and Grand Circle.
You walk in at the top. The main foyer on Savoy Court is at Grand Circle level, the Dress Circle is 32 steps below it and the Stalls are 75 steps down, and there is no lift.
Our short answer on seats: rows D to G of the Stalls, in the middle, before the overhang, or right at the front if you want eye contact with the cast. If you would rather be up, the front five rows of the Dress Circle see the whole stage and row A has extra legroom.
Below: the seating plan and what each level sees, how to get here and which door to use, access, where to eat, drink and stay on the Strand and in Covent Garden, and more about the building.

What's On at the Savoy Theatre
Paddington The Musical is on sale with us right through to 13 February 2028.
It is the bear from the films, on stage, with new songs by Tom Fletcher, and it runs 2 hours 45 minutes including the interval. It won seven Olivier Awards in April 2026, Best New Musical among them, and a Broadway production opens in 2027. Age guidance is 6+.
Matinees are on Thursday, Saturday and Sunday and there is no Tuesday performance.
Most seats cost from around £60 up to around £110, with premium seats starting from around £195 midweek and around £220 at the weekend. It sells out months ahead, so book early and don't expect to see any seats for six weeks or less from today's date. Our prices are all-in, so the price you see is what you pay.
Paddington is staged so that nearly every seat gets a good view. Projections play onto the inside of the auditorium as well as the stage, so the show reaches out into the building around you. The Stalls put you close, and the bear's magic is best seen close. The front section of the Dress Circle is the pick of the theatre, and the Grand Circle is high and a long way back.

FAQs
Is this the same Savoy as the hotel?
They are two buildings on the same courtyard. The theatre opened in 1881 and the hotel was built next to it eight years later. Your ticket is for the theatre, and its own entrance is on Savoy Court, off the Strand; you do not go in through the hotel. There are also Savoy Theatres in Corby, Nottingham and Monmouth. This is the London one, WC2R 0ET.
Can I buy tickets at the Box Office on the day?
Yes. It opens at 10am every day and closes at 7pm, except Tuesday when it shuts at 5pm and Sunday when it shuts at 3pm. It's unlikely you'll be able to purchase tickets on the day of a show for Paddington, as they usually sell out months in advance. Tickets for other dates stop being sold an hour before curtain up, so if you are buying for another date, get there before that. Book with us instead and it is all-in pricing, the price you see is what you pay.
Is there a dress code at the Savoy Theatre?
No. The theatre does not have one, so jeans and trainers are fine and so is dressing up. Wear what you will be comfortable sitting in for 2 hours 45 minutes. The one place a dress code might apply is in areas of the hotel next door, and that is a different building.
What is the Savoy Theatre's phone number?
The theatre does not publish a Box Office number. Its own advice is to get in touch in person at the Box Office, through its social channels or through its website. To book by phone, call us on 020 7193 9050: we will tell you what is actually free on your date and which of it is the better buy, and the price we quote is the price you pay.
Can I take a bag in? Is there a cloakroom?
A small bag is fine, but there's no cloakroom, so a coat or bag has to go under your seat. Anything bigger has to be left before you arrive, and the nearest place is the left luggage at Charing Cross station, about five minutes' walk.
Can I order drinks to my seat?
Yes. The theatre takes in-seat orders, so interval drinks can be brought to you rather than collected. The bars here are small, so ordering from your seat is the easier way to do the interval. For a soft drink or an ice cream, try the merchandise stands: they sell both, and the queues are much shorter.
Do you offer group bookings?
Yes. Call us on 020 7193 9050 with the date and the size of the group and we will find you seats together. For a show that sells out months ahead, the earlier you call the more choice there is.
