Three levels, Stalls, Dress Circle and Grand Circle, and the rows on every one of them start at A. A "row G" ticket means nothing until you know which level it is on, so check the level first and the row second.

Stalls or Dress Circle?

The Stalls, for most people. Rows D to G in the middle are the best seats in the theatre: close, and well in front of the Dress Circle overhang, which starts above row H and only takes the top of the stage from row P. The Stalls also have the best legroom of the three levels.

The Dress Circle is the answer if you want to see the whole stage at once. The front five rows do that, row A has extra legroom to go with the view, and nothing sits above you until row G.

What separates them is the walk. There is no lift, so from the Savoy Court foyer you go down 32 steps to reach the Dress Circle and 75 to reach the Stalls. The Carting Lane door, which the venue opens for access bookings, comes in at Dress Circle level without a step.

The levels at a glance

  • Stalls, rows BB then A to W. The best seats in the theatre are in D to G; the back three rows lose the most to the overhang
  • Dress Circle, rows A to O. The front five rows are the pick for a big musical; a small block of low-numbered seats at the rear is restricted
  • Grand Circle, rows A to L. The cheapest seats and the highest; rows F and G have a safety rail across the view

What it costs

For Paddington, the show is often sold out months in advance, so we really do recommend booking early. Most seats cost from around £60 up to around £110. However, these are the first to go, and then you'll be looking at the premium seats, which very quickly head up to around £195 midweek and around £220 at the weekend. When you book with us, the price you see is what you pay.
